“Open for Questions” at closed at noon.  There were 20,463 people who proposed and voted on questions.  If you’re looking for a laugh, you can find the questions archived here.

  1. “Will you consider legalizing marijuana so that the government can regulate it, tax it, put age limits on it, and create millions of new jobs and create a billion dollar industry right here in the U.S.?” (7947 votes) – Is anyone surprised that this would be the top priority of liberal voters?  By the way, the president doesn’t make or abolish laws.
  2. “What will you do as President to restore the Constitutional protections that have been subverted by the Bush Administration and how will you ensure that our system of checks and balances is renewed?” (6054 votes) – We should be more worried about what Constitutional rights Obama and the Democratic Congress will try to abolish.
  3. “What will you do to establish transparency and safeguards against waste with the rest of the Wall Street bailout money?” (5982)  – Safeguards against using the money to bail out the UAW?
  4. “Will you lift the ban on Stem Cell research in your first 100 days in office?” (5376) – There is no ban on research into adult stem cells, which is actually providing some results.  There is also no ban on research with the strains of embryonic stem cells that already exist, but there haven’t been any results.
  5. “What will you do to promote science and mathematics education to Elementary and Middle School students?” (3964) –  Education is a local issue not a national one.
